Coral Edge TPU after the repo archive: what's your toolchain in 2026?

Google archived the google-coral/edgetpu repository on 19 April 2026; it's read-only now. Builders also report that the pycoral Python bindings stop at Python 3.9 (a community report, not an official statement). Google's newer Coral NPU, announced in October 2025, is an open-source RISC-V NPU design that targets IREE and TensorFlow Lite Micro rather than pycoral. Questions for the group: • Is your Coral USB Accelerator or Dev Board still in service? How do you run it on current systems: a Python 3.9 environment, Docker, Frigate, a community fork? • Has anyone tried the Coral NPU toolchain yet?
